You should first make a copy of it, or install it on your hard disk before using the program. Welcome aboard. We look forward to working with you on this project. Be sure to include your account number on all correspondence. This number is used to make sure that you and your sponsor and those you sponsor each receive the proper credit. Your number consists of the following parts: AAAA-BBBB-CCCC The AAAA tells us who your first level sponsor is, the BBBB, your second level sponsor, and the CCCC, your unique number. Thus if your number is: 2543-4501-2455 Dealers #2543, and #4501 will each receive their respective commissions for your work. Each first level recruit you sponsor should receive your last 4 numbers as their first four, 0000 as their second four and 0001, 0002, etc, as their third four. Each second level you recruit will receive your first four, the second four from the person you have recruited, and the third four numbers will be assigned uniquely to that person. The reason we are going into the detail of explaining this numbering system is to encourage you and make it as easy as possible to recruit new dealers. Their processing fee of $25.00 MUST be received however before any commissions for sale of product will be disbursed. 7 LET'S TALK ABOUT THE PLAN As our dealers are finding to their delight, it really is to their advantage to sponsor others as agressively and quickly as possible. Here are some ideas. Place classified ads in local shoppers. These will normally only cost a few dollars and will get a 10 to 1 return for the first level inquiries with usually 2 or 3 dealers being signed. This means that if the ad costs you $2.50, you can realistically expect about $25.00 to $30.00 to be received at $2.00 per inquiry and to have about $50.00 to $75.00 to follow as you sign several from the initial 15 or so inquiries. Share the plan with friends and co-workers. This is probably the quickest way to build your organization. Many times however, it is difficult to get friends excited unless they see YOUR excitement and success. Share the plan at your local computer club. This will generate a lot of excitement and should get a lot of local interest created quickly. The same cautions that are listed in the paragraph above apply however. It is also to your advantage to recuit each of these people as your first level recruits. Setting some up as first level and others as second level will lessen your income SIGNIFICANTLY if your first level people are lazy and your second level people become agressive. It is best for all concerned if you allow each person to achieve their own objectives and encourage them to create their own organization. Place ads in national magazines. This can be quite expensive, but it also pays off in a VERY BIG WAY. You must be sure that you are ready to handle the volume of responses. Most magazines have lead times from 1 to 3 months and a 4 to 6 time run minimum and you must pay for the ad up front. This means that you will have about three times the individual ad cost tied up for several months before you see any return. If you can afford to make the plunge, by all means go ahead. While we can make no guarantees, you should expect to get inquiries up to 3 percent of the circulation of the magazine. For a magazine such as Nuts and Volts with 45,000 circulation, you may receive 750 to 1000 inquiries! Direct unsolicited mailing of the business plan gets very little response. Our tests have shown a loss on the cost of printing and postage every time we have tried this method. 8 WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU GET A PROSPECT New dealers and requests can be handled in several ways. 1. You can have the person fill out a copy of the form for dealer sign-ups and submit the form to us along with their $25.00. We will return their materials and they're ready to go. You can go ahead and make a copy of the program diskette immediately and assign them a number. 2. You can direct inquiries and orders to us here directly as EDR. This method may be your best way of dealing with ad response without having to get too involved yourself. You should first make a copy of it, or install it on your hard disk before using the program. To make a copy using 1 drive: Power up your system using your DOS boot diskette. Type the following: DISKCOPY A: A: Press ENTER The system will prompt you to place the SOURCE disk in DRIVE A:. Place the DIALIT diskette you have received in drive A: and press ENTER. When prompted, replace the diskette with a fresh diskette and the system will complete the copy. If you receive the error message, BAD COMMAND OR FILE NAME, you must find a copy of your DOS diskette which contains DISKCOPY. Place this diskette in drive and repeat the process above. To make a copy using 2 drives DISKCOPY A: B: The system will prompt you to place the SOURCE disk in DRIVE A:. and the TARGET disk in DRIVE B:. Place the CHAPS diskette you have received in drive A: and a new diskette in drive B: and press ENTER. The system will complete the copy. To install MY OWN FINANCIAL CONSULTANT on your hard disk: INSTALL C: If you want to install the program on any drive other than C:, you should substitute the letter designation after the word INSTALL.
